Downloaded the Latest Version just now. Adobe...Thank You...Bless you, your children and your children's children :) Still have problems with FlashPlayer on Internet Explorer 9 on Vista - but not on IE9 on Windows 7.... but I'm guessing that's a whole different issue. I've got enough smiles to last me a while! Thanks again!

Like everyone else... this has destroyed several of my websites. It needs to be fixed ASAP so I don't think I can wait for Adobe to figure it out. I'll be spending the next couple of days figuring out how to fix these sites... and it won't be using Flash.

I spoke too soon in that I only listed Chrome. Doesn't work in Internet Explorer 9 on Vista but it's okay in IE9 on Windows 7. Not working in Safari as well. I'm an idiot in that I mentioned this wasn't working on only two of my client sites...forgot about internal pages and several other sites that I haven't viewed in a while. Ugh!!!! Thanks to those who voted and "meadwebdesign" I feel your pain! Thanks Adobe for promising a fix - I really do appreciate it - but I'm in big trouble and I have to do something really quick! Is there any way at all that you can let us know when we could expect a fix. I'm not asking for you to help me feel better, I just really need to decide if I can wait or not!

The flash objects on the following pages of my web site no longer work:
The "fade in/fade out" series of images that should appear are now just blank spaces. These flash object worked perfectly in previous versions. This bug needs to be fixed right away. This ruins the look of this photoraphy site where the "look" is everything. Thank you.

this will be fixed resolve in the next project release, Anza.

as noted in our internal bug, the cause of the problem is that rgb encoded jpegs were not properly initializing their alpha channel which resulted in the jpg not loading or appearing to be corrupt.

thanks again for reporting the issue...

My Chrome, and IE no longer view several flash components correctly on websites after the flash player update. My platform is Windows 7 64 bit. I tried uninstalling and re installing the browser platforms, flash player, and then saw an article showing that several people are experiencing the same thing. I used to be a web developer and now I am seeing many of the websites that I created, having the banners or flash implements not working.. One example is the header on You can now only see the text in the flash and not the images fading in and out. Though when I open the same header.swf on my computer, it opens with Adobe Flash player 9, the flash header shows the way it should. Is there a way to correct this problem, so that everyone does not have to fix their websites??? This is not okay, this needs to be fixed...

I have the same issue occurring on firefox, chrome and IE8/9 this is a serious bug and needs to be addressed as it has left sites crippled out of no-where...

I have multiple websites that are suffering from this issue, I'm not planning on rebuilding every last animation I have made, if adobe will not address this issue then I suggest going directly to HTML5 and simply cut ties...

Reverse compatibly is needed in all platforms, to kill off a simple animated flash banner is far from acceptable...

I have sites that have stopped working because of the change in Flash player. It also created a problem with Flash making software that was purchased and had been working for years.

I am having issues with dozens of websites that I do general monitoring on. Owners are complaining to me that they are losing business because their flash is broken. I have lost clients because I can not fix them all in one day.. or week... more because they don't like the stop gap measures that could be put in until a solid answer is given. This is getting ridiculous. Adobe needs to fix this its their update that's messing the pages up.

  • lisaweed

    10:26:30 AM GMT+00:00 Oct 29, 2011

I have several websites that I have designed for clients that are now broken (in more than just Chrome... IE and Safari too). It's not my fault and it is not my clients' faults. However, I will be spending the next few days redesigning these sites with something other than Flash. If you fix it after that... well, I for one won't bother using it.

The update to FLASH 11 has created problems on two of my websites. The embedded flash objects no longer work on the main screen using IE 8. Why is FLASH 11 not backwards combatible? This is really inconvenient. If you are unwilling to correct this I will have to updated my sites, may as well go to Silverlight if I do.

This bug creates un-usable simple banners with an animated text and should never have occurred, please let us know a work around or release a patch to fix this, many vendors will drop flash support once they realize that you just killed off clients websites with flash 11 offering no reverse compatibility..
